ABOUT
DOM BEARWOOD

— The story
From reclaimed artist to licensed builder.
Before becoming a licensed contractor, Dom worked as a woodworker and reclaimed artist, restoring old materials and giving them new life. That habit of seeing value in what others might throw away became the foundation of his work ethic.
Over the years, that mindset grew into a full-service building practice. Today, Dom is a Michigan-based contractor with over 20 years of hands-on experience in residential construction, repair, and property improvement. He specializes in carpentry, drywall, trim, painting, general handyman services, and weather-related damage repairs.
Dom is a graduate of MCTI in Plainwell, where he trained in weatherization and building performance. He has worked in many different roles across the trades, building a wide range of skills through real job-site experience, not just classroom theory.
“Where restoration meets craftsmanship”
That mindset still guides how Dom approaches every job today.

— Communication
Inclusive, patient, and easy to work with.
Dom is deaf, and he takes pride in being inclusive and easy to work with. In his early career, he often faced challenges finding consistent work because of communication barriers and people not knowing how to approach working with someone who is deaf.
Over time, Dom proved that communication is never a limitation. He can work effectively with anyone through clear systems, patience, and respect on both sides.
Today, he focuses on delivering honest, reliable work and building strong relationships with customers. Good work speaks for itself, and Dom values every referral and repeat client who trusts him with their home.
